Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

At AsiaVerify, trust and integrity are at the heart of everything we do. This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the standards for how our platform, tools, and data should be used. It is designed to protect our users, partners, and the communities we serve, while ensuring compliance and responsible business practices.

1. Purpose

   AsiaVerify provides access to verification tools, reports, and data to support legitimate business decision-making, compliance, and due diligence. This Acceptable Use Policy governs how users interact with these resources.

2. Prohibited Activities

   Users must not, under any circumstances:

   • Use AsiaVerify tools or reports for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, misleading, or malicious purposes
   • Distribute, publish, or reuse reports in ways that misrepresent their intent, alter meaning, or imply endorsement by AsiaVerify
   • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or commercially exploit platform features outside permitted use
   • Circumvent access limits, billing structures, or security controls
   • Use AsiaVerify to surveil, profile, or otherwise target individuals or entities in breach of privacy, ethical, or regulatory standards

3. Platform Discretion

   AsiaVerify reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to any user at any time without obligation to provide justification, including but not limited to:

   • Potential reputational, ethical, or operational risks
   • Misalignment with platform values or usage guidelines
   • Abuse of tools, licenses, or system resources

   Such decisions will be made at AsiaVerify’s sole discretion to maintain the integrity, trust, and purpose of the platform.

4. Non-Endorsement

   Use of AsiaVerify services does not imply endorsement of user activities, business practices, or third-party conclusions derived from reports. Users are solely responsible for how outputs are interpreted and applied.

5. Policy Enforcement

   Violations of this AUP may result in service suspension or account closure. AsiaVerify may monitor usage and collaborate with appropriate entities to enforce responsible use.

6. Mission Integrity

   AsiaVerify recognizes that nonprofit partners often engage our tools to advance transparency, inclusion, and public good. While we honor these intentions, use of AsiaVerify reports must still align with platform values and responsible use guidelines. We reserve the right to discontinue access that, even unintentionally, risks compromising public trust or misrepresents our data in service of a third-party narrative.

7. Community Respect & Equity

   Users must avoid leveraging AsiaVerify outputs to stigmatize, marginalize, or disproportionately scrutinize groups in ways that violate principles of equity, fairness, or inclusivity. This applies to vetting, fundraising, employment, and policy contexts.

8. Principled Partnership

   Access to AsiaVerify does not constitute formal partnership, endorsement, or shared liability. Nonprofit clients are encouraged to contact AsiaVerify for clarification on appropriate citation, data use in public reports, and sector-specific messaging support.
